Lindsay Smith is the K-12 Supervisor of Educational Technology at Central Bucks School District located in Doylestown, PA. This is her 6th year in her role within the Technology and Innovation Department. Lindsay graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught 4th and 5th grade in Central Bucks, while also receiving a Master’s degree in Special Education from Cabrini University. During her 8 years of teaching, Lindsay enjoyed utilizing and incorporating Educational Technology into her lessons and activities with students. This passion grew into an opportunity to work alongside colleagues to develop the elementary STEM program in Central Bucks SD, called QUEST. She taught QUEST, the K-6 elementary STEM special, for a year while obtaining her Principal & Supervisory Certificate from Delaware Valley University. Upon completion, Lindsay was hired as the Supervisor of Educational Technology. In this role, Lindsay works with her team to select student devices, programs, and tools that support and enhance teaching and learning for all 18,000 students and 2,000+ staff members in Central Bucks. She oversees the technology staff development for the district, supports district technology initiatives, and promotes creativity and innovation throughout the district. Currently, she is overseeing the CB Online School and working with her team to build additional online learning opportunities for students. Lindsay cherishes her working relationship with the Lenovo team and the support they show the district with their evolving technology initiatives. As a lifelong learner, Lindsay enjoys helping learners of all ages utilize modern tools to maximize creativity, style, and effectiveness of sharing knowledge with others.
