Smith+Nephew, a global leader in wound care, convened an international consensus panel comprising eight experts from Canada, Spain, the UK and the US, which made recommendations to help guide the clinical decision-making process around the initiation of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) for acute and chronic wounds.
These recommendations help healthcare providers determine the optimal system (traditional NPWT or single use NPWT) to utilize and address the clinical, financial and operational obstacles that can complicate the use of negative pressure wound therapy.
